Description
Southern rural architecture inspired the exterior style of Kennesaw Ridge, a 1993 Southern Living Idea House. This translates into a house with the sturdy appearance and simple, strong detailing reminiscent of houses built before the Civil War.
Our plan has three levels, including upstairs bedrooms and a finished basement. It's designed as an expandable house. The main body can be built first with both the master wing (about 850 square feet) and the garage wing (about 600 square feet) being future options. The basement can also be finished later. The tall, simple shape allows ceilings to be 10 feet on the first floor and 9 feet for the upstairs and finished basement.
