Description
The coastal Virginia Tidewater area produced one of the South's best loved architectural styles. The Tidewater house was a simplification of the English Georgian-style house, modified to suit the local climate, available building materials, and the skills of colonial craftsmen.
Inside our plan, a long center hall doubles as a gallery when equipped with track lighting. Ten-foot ceilings lend volume to the main-floor rooms. Brightness and warmth are ensured by the plan's three fireplaces and by generous stretches of window walls along the rear.
Designed by William H. Phillips.
Plan number SL-123.
