Designed by William H. Phillips, Jr., of Dauphin Island, Alabama, Magnolia offers free-flowing spaces in less than 2,000 square feet. This relatively compact house offers a simple, livable plan. Primary living areas are oriented toward the rear of the house, with careful placement of windows and glass doors allowing views to the outdoors. The living and dining rooms open to a protected deck, while the airy, efficient kitchen enjoys views through both the dining and living rooms. Two equal-size bedrooms and adjoining baths occupy the main level. Upstairs, a loft may double as a bedroom with a small bath and a pair of wall closets.
