Fieldstone, cedar shingles, and stucco blend to give our Stonybrook house its upland, country feeling. The front gable and combination of hipped and gabled roof shapes enhance the appealing look of the house's exterior while allowing for spacious rooms inside. The home's interiors are open and bright with 9-foot ceilings on the main level. Designed by Stephen Fuller, Inc., of Atlanta, Stonybrook includes details for a basement foundation, an optional family room fireplace, and an optional side porch. more

    Country Farmhouse - SL-125

Our classic farmhouse is simple and solid in the best country tradition, but formal detailing gives it an elegance that would make it equally at home in town. Deep porches front and rear shade the house. The dormers feature casement windows topped by graceful fanlights. Long windows, latticework trim, and square columns complete the farmhouse look. The house may be built with or without the master bedroom wing. If built without, the plan offers a three-bedroom, two-bath house of about 2,400 square feet. With the addition of the wing, the house becomes a four-bedroom, three-bath home of about 2,800 square feet. To the left of the foyer is a separate dining room, and to the right is a room that could be used as a guestroom, nursery, or study. A Classic Country Farmhouse was designed by Phillip Franks of Birmingham. more

    Woodview - SL-229

With three bedrooms and 1,929 square feet, this plan brings together the charm of a lakeside cottage and the comfort of a home in town. Donald A. Gardner Architects, Inc., of Greenville, South Carolina, suggests materials and building components that reflect the mix of country and city styles. Walls are clad in wood, and handcrafted touches of trim and molding at the doors and windows enhance the exterior appeal. Interiors flow with a roomy and comfortable arrangement of open spaces. A bonus room upstairs allows for future expansion. © 1995 Donald A. Gardner Architects, Inc. more
