This two-story cottage has the timeless appeal of older homes found on the Gulf Coast. Designed by William H. Phillips, Jr., of Dauphin Island, Alabama, the Laurel is built on a crawlspace foundation with an exterior of 6-inch wood siding.
The foyer leads directly into the open living and dining areas. An L-shaped counter gives a visual separation between the kitchen and dining room. In the breakfast nook, a bay window provides space for additional seating. The utility closet is also located off the kitchen. On the second level, a balcony overlooks the living room. The two upstairs bedrooms share a single bath with double vanities.
